Trying to save the Capture Profile locks up the program.

Question

Even if I don't change anything in the profile, it locks up.  Whether I'm adding a profile or Editing an existing one, it always locks up.  Specifically I just want to get rid of the panning feature, but no matter what I do it always locks up.

I've tried running it as Administrator (i'm using Windows 7).  I've also looked for the profiles in the Program Files directory figuring I would edit them there, but could not find anything.

Does it just hang up forever or did it display any error message?

I have no idea why this can happen, we've never experienced this type of issue before. This might be because of corrupted config file.

You can try: manually find and delete the file in:

C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\ActivePresenter

The file to be deleted is: ActivePresenter.apconfig

Note: The AppData folder is usually hidden, so you have to change the "Folders and search options" of Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders.

You can also open that folder by:

- Select "Run..." from Start Menu or press Windows + R

- Type: shell:AppData and press Enter

- Look for a folder named: ActivePresenter

Hi,

This is a confirmed bug which makes ActivePresenter crashed when there is no audio input device on your system.

We have fixed it, and a new version will be released soon.

For a workaround at the moment, you can plug in a microphone to your computer to avoid the crash.

We have released ActivePresenter 3.1 with this bug fixed and many more enhancements too.
