how to improve video quality?

0 like 0 dislike
Happy New Year to you! I am wondering how to improve the output MP4 file, maybe by changing the default frame settings when recording? And is the output mp4 file supposed to show a beter resolution than the avi one?  Generally, wat can be my expectations regarding resolution between what I can see on my screen when recording, and the final corresponding mp4 file pls?

Thanks!

Hi,

The frame rate settings when recording just affects the smoothness of recorded video (you can view it right inside the editor after recording using the preview button on the Timeline panel). Normally, you can set the frame rate to around 24 fps for fast motion video or just 15-20 fps for slow tutorial video.

The output format (AVI or MP4...) does not affect video resolution at all.
The resolution (width x height) of recorded video depends on the recording area size, so just choose popular resolutions like: 480x320, 640x480, 720x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x720 (HD)...

So briefly, if you want your final video has a specified resolution, just choose it as recording size.

Please note that video resolution is not the same as video quality. Video resolution is just the video size (width and height), while video quality is the clearliness of the video. For more clear output video, please choose highest video quality setting parameter on Export Video dialog when exporting.

Regards.
