New features:

Capture:

Full motion recording: Allow user to record full motion video
Allow user to record audio while capturing
Automatically set slide duration based on user’s recording time
Support multiple monitors: Allow user to capture on multiple monitors
Auto panning capture area: Allow capture area to be dynamically moved around with mouse cursor while capturing
Allow user to record mouse movement while capturing
Allow user to customize the text which is inserted automatically for annotations when capturing
Capture profile: User can easily manage capture settings using separate profiles

Zoom in and pan a specific area

Video:

Allow user to insert video to slides (play, seek,…)
Allow splitting a video to multiple ones

Mouse Hover:

Response when user moves the mouse over/out the object
Define flexible responses easily thanks to Event – Action mechanism

Object Styling:

Users can define styles and reuse for multiple objects
Support 3 types of style
- Fill style: Style used to fill object shapes (there are four fill styles: none, solid, gradient, image)
- Line style: Style used to draw object borders
- Text style: Style used to draw object text
Allow user to change style of multiple objects in a slide at once
Batch base style changing for all objects in project.

Event – Action mechanism:

Allow user to define ultra flexible responses for question and interactions (Mouse Click, Key Stroke, Text Box, Mouse Hover, Button)
New 7 event types (in addition to three types in previous release: mouse click, key press, text) to conveniently add more interactivity to your screencasts and elearning courses
- On Correct: response when learner’s answer is correct
- On Incorrect: response when learner’s answer is incorrect
- On Incomplete: response when learner’s answer is not yet complete
- On Complete: response when learner completes the survey
- On Time out: response when the time limit for interaction is expired
- On Roll over: response when learner moves mouse over the interaction
- On Roll out: response when learner moves mouse out of the interaction
New actions: Pause presentation, Continue presentation, Show object, Hide object…
Score by answer: learner score can be defined based on each his/her answer
Action by answer: response actions can be defined based on each learner’s answer
Multiple response actions for each event, each learner’s answer
Pausing presentation to wait for learner answer
Time limit for each question or interaction

Export:

Export to WebM video format
Automatically scroll to first action on a slide (AJAX, Flash Simulation)

Enhancements:

Canvas:

Easier changing size and position of object that laid behind other one. Allow resizing multiple objects.
Resizing objects (especially image) and zooming are smoother
Object now can dragged outside the canvas, the outside area will not displayed in exported outputs
Slide Background Image now can change the size

Timeline:

Name, visibility, lock state of object also displayed on timeline. The visibility and lock state can be changed easily from timeline by clicking correspondent icon
Add play, stop preview, zooming buttons on timeline
More flexible timline zooming with many different scales by holding Ctrl button and wheeling the mouse (old version has only 5 scales)
Allow viewing all slides in project in timline at the same time

Slides Window:

Slides window now uses incremental update and don’t need waiting to update slide thumbnails anymore
Allow cut, paste, delete slides from main menu and toolbar when Slides Window focused

Library:

Library is now updated automatically instead of manual reloading when new resources added
Resources in library are displayed in thumbnails for picking up easily
More compact and clearer Library’s toolbar
Allow selecting which types of resource are shown in library from it’s toolbar
Allow importing many resources at once

Interaction (new name of Action):

Allow user to set lifetime (based on start time and duration) for interaction object

Audio Editor:

Better presentation of audio samples
Better ruler of audio timeline and zoomming
Allow selecting audio device and input source for recording in audio editor

Audio Properties Dialog:

Using unique panel for selecting, playing, recording audio to avoid changing tab multiple times

Image Properties Dialog:

Image now can have fill and line style
Add "Hue" property.

Export Video, Flash Video:

Export time reduced significantly
Allow exporting multiple medias (audio/video) which their lifetimes overlap each other
Easier selecting output video format from export dialog
Remove mouse options when exporting to video because already having cursor path
Better synching between audio and object displaying

Export Word, PowerPoint, Excel:

Export Excel to native MS Office’s object
Export to native MS Office’s object produces better result
Export to Office Open XML document (*.docx, *.pptx, *.xlsx)

Export AJAX, Flash:

Add changing volume on toolbar
Audio is played wihout showing player in AJAX
Add HTML file for 4 modes (Demonstration, Tutorial, Practice, Test) for easily embedding to Webpage or uploading to LMS
Support seeking to any position in Demonstration and Tutorial modes
Support restore functionalities in SCORM

Import PowerPoint:

Loading PowerPoint presentation is faster.
Import PowerPoint produces better result by using new shape types of objects and styles

Others:

Better look and feel (appearance)
Project loading time reduced greatly
Project corruption probability is reduced
Lots of minor improvements and bugs fixed

Deprecated Features:

Remove support for Internet Explorer 6.0
Remove independent hint object (now changed to mouse hover with attached hint message)
Remove converting between mp3, ogg, wma
Remove support for Windows 2000
