  • Windows 10, Windows 11 (only 64-bit is supported).
  • macOS 13 or later (including macOS 14, macOS 15, and macOS 26). The macOS application is universal: it runs natively on Apple Silicon (arm64) and on Intel Macs (x86_64). Apple Silicon users do not need Rosetta for normal operation.
    Note that administrative privilege is required to install ActivePresenter.

Hardware Requirements:

  • CPU: 2 GHz or faster processor with SSE2 (2.0 GHz multi-core or higher recommended).
  • 8 GB of RAM or better.
  • 10 GB of available hard-disk space for installation.
  • Sound card and microphone for audio recording.
  • Webcam for webcam video recording

  • For smoother playback of HTML5 courses containing Green Screen video, a browser and graphics device that support WebGL 2, with browser hardware acceleration enabled, are recommended. If GPU rendering is unavailable, the player uses CPU processing. Playback may be less smooth, especially with high-resolution videos or multiple videos playing at the same time.
  • For recording system audio on macOS: BlackHole 2ch is required
  • Microsoft Office is not required for Word, Excel, or PowerPoint export, or for importing PowerPoint files. ActivePresenter creates DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX files directly and imports PPTX files natively. You still need a compatible application to open or edit the exported files
