We are pleased to announce that ActivePresenter is now available for MAC, starting from version 6.0.2.
The most wonderful part is ActivePresenter for MAC is as powerful as the Windows version is. That means you can do almost tasks from screen recording, editing, exporting to Video and HTML5, integrating with LMS with SCORM, xAPI,… Especially, you can interchange project files between MAC and Windows versions without any limitation.
Since there are some minor issues in the MAC version, we have decided to release it as a beta release. Everyone can download and use it for free will full features comparing to the Professional edition on Windows.
Here are some limitations of ActivePresenter for MAC:
- Record system audio: You need to install Soundflower (available for free) to do it. Please read this article for more details.
- Export features: only Export To Videos and Export To HTML5 are available.
- Find and Replace functions are not available.
- Floating Toolbar for editing text is not available. This is just a very small limitation, you can format text with all functions like the Windows version with tools in the HOME tab.
- Some small issues in the text editor.
