How to Apply Text Translation
Here’s the simple step-by-step process to use the Text Translation feature in ActivePresenter:
Navigate to AI tab > Text Translation
Step 1: Choose a Translator Provider
ActivePresenter gives you flexibility to work with different translation providers.
- Built-in providers selection available: Open AI & Google Cloud. ActivePresenter AI credits only be charged in this case.
- However, you can select other providers by clicking the plus button.
- By using custom translators available such as Google Cloud, DeepL & ChatGPT, you are required to have your own API key.
Note: API stands for Application Programming Interface. Think of it as a bridge that allows two different software applications to talk to each other. The API key works like a password or ticket that lets ActivePresenter securely connect to those services on your behalf.
In case you do not own any API key, you can check how to get your API from service providers such as OpenAI, DeepL or Google Cloud.
For example:
ChatGPT will require your API Key, Model, Creativity Level.
DeepL requires your API Key only
Google Cloud requires Service Account Key, Project ID, Location.
You can feel free to edit your own script.
Otherwise, you can select translation providers in the Service Providers tab, then continue to insert your API key as instructed above.
Step 2: Select the Target Language
You can choose your original language, or let ActivePresenter automatically detect the language for you.
- Choose your target language with over 50+ languages available, or click Auto-detect language
- Copy your text you want to translate into the input area.
- Click Translate to start the translation.
Step 3: Copy and Use the Translation
Once the translated text appears in the output area:
- Click Copy to Clipboard.
- Paste the translated text back into your slide, or anywhere else you need it.
Final Notes
